**Job Summary:**
Assist R\&D Manager with design and develop mechanical product structure (plastic), either new or improvement from existing design based on customer \& in\-house requirements; Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing tooling solutions to support research and development initiatives. To collaborate closely with cross\-functional teams to identify tooling requirements, develop prototypes, and implement solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes. Additionally, to play a key role in evaluating new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods to continuously improve our tooling capabilities
**Job Description:**
Design and develop plastic mechanical product structures to meet various requirements.
Create tooling solutions like fixtures, molds, and dies for R\&D projects.
Test prototypes and conduct feasibility studies to improve tooling designs.
Work closely with R\&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align project goals.
Use CAD and simulation tools to design and analyze tooling for performance and cost.
Research new materials and technologies to improve tooling efficiency.
Prepare detailed documentation such as drawings, specs, and test reports.
Provide technical support and solve tooling issues during all project phases.
Keep up with trends and innovations in tooling and manufacturing.
Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely and budget\-friendly delivery.
Test plastic molding products and related processes (printing, assembly) to ensure quality standards.
Conduct First Article Checks on new or modified molds and coordinate with mold makers or suppliers for any needed changes.
Create and update DCN/ECN documents based on design and development activities.
Share First Article Reports and quality documents with relevant departments.
Follow up on any abnormal or non\-conformance issues.
Handle other related tasks as needed.
**Requirements:**
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
At least 5 years of experience in tooling design and development, preferably in an R\&D or product development environment
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL)
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining techniques
Excellent problem\-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast\-paced, team\-oriented environment
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
